This privacy policy explains what information Skyward Rise ("the app", "we") collects when you play, and how it is used. Skyward Rise is developed as an independent mobile game published on Google Play.
Information We Collect
We do not require you to create an account with a name, email, or password. Depending on how you play, the app may handle the following:
Anonymous gameplay identity. On first launch, the app creates an anonymous player session (via our backend provider, Supabase) used to store your progress -- coins, upgrades, unlocked cosmetics, high scores, and streaks -- so it can be restored if you reinstall or switch devices.
Google Play Games sign-in (optional). If you choose to sign in with Google Play Games, we receive your Google Play Games profile information (such as your player ID and display name) to link your progress to your Google account, show leaderboards, and enable cross-device sync. You can play without signing in; your progress is then tied only to the anonymous identity above.
Chosen nickname. A nickname you pick for leaderboards, which does not need to be your real name.
Advertising data. The app shows optional rewarded video ads via Google AdMob in exchange for in-game rewards (such as coins). AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID) and other data as described in Google's Privacy Policy to serve and measure ads. You are never required to watch ads to play the game.
Purchase records. If you buy in-game coins, the purchase is processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We receive confirmation that a purchase was completed so we can grant the coins, but we never see or store your payment card details -- those are handled by Google Play.
How We Use This Information
To save and restore your game progress across sessions and devices.
To operate leaderboards and seasonal rankings.
To grant purchased or ad-rewarded coins.
To display ads and measure their performance, through Google AdMob.
To diagnose bugs and improve the game.

Skyward Rise is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the details below and we will remove it.
Data Retention & Deletion
Your anonymous gameplay data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at the email below; please include your in-game nickname or Google Play Games ID so we can locate your data.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
